Educational Leadership
Southeastern's Educational Leadership program provides an essential foundation for
school administrators to assume the role of instructional leaders for effective school
improvement. The cohort-based program features a sequential combination of seminars
that help students develop an understanding of effective school leadership.

Program Highlights
- Students practice and demonstrate knowledge, skills and dispositions learned in the
program by completing fieldwork experiences built into each course and occurring in
diverse educational settings
- The cohort concept provides the opportunity for students to participate in the type
of collegial and group processes that model learning communities
- Off-campus cohorts are offered at cooperating school district sites

Program Requirements
- Total semester hours required: 36
- Successfully complete all field-based experiences and internship
- Satisfactorily complete a comprehensive examination, to take the form of completion
and defense before the Leadership Faculty of an electronic portfolio
- Successfully complete the School Leaders' Licensure Examination
